SusNex and BUFT Partner to Advance Sustainability & ESG Education
In a major step towards fostering environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices, The Sustainability Nexus (SusNex) and BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This landmark partnership initiates a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing sustainability education, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) awareness, and capacity building for future textile and fashion professionals in Bangladesh.
Empowering the Next Generation of Green Leaders
As Bangladesh's Ready-Made Garment (RMG) and textile sectors undergo a critical transformation towards circularity and ethical supply chains, equipping future graduates with robust ESG knowledge is vital. This collaboration will bridge the gap between academic education and industry compliance standards.
Through joint initiatives, SusNex and BUFT will provide students and faculty with access to:
- ESG & Sustainability Workshops: Practical sessions decoding international compliance frameworks, carbon accounting, and GRI standards.
- Industry Insights: Direct exposure to the challenges and opportunities of implementing sustainable practices in factories.
- Green Leadership Programs: Mentorship and training to prepare students to lead sustainability roles in local and global markets.
